12-21: In need of Obedience Training/Puppy Classes? Take a gander at the various options available at our local Petco! AKC Star Puppy and Canine Good Citizen certifications available. They also hold regular weekend puppy play times to help socialize your new friend. Call (707) 445-1256 and ask for Taylor for more information.
12-10: Happy Holidays to all of our amazing clients and their furry buddies!! Don't forget to take a photo with Santa at Petco, or check out the new Pet Photography set up at Fin-n-Feather's second location in Henderson Center.
12-03: We are so very excited to announce that Chloe has found her forever home!!! We couldn't be any happier that she will be spending this Christmas in a nice, warm, cozy cat bed of her own.

11-28: As of today, we will be switching over to our new Winter hours. The office will no longer be open on Sundays; we will however be available for any urgent care services for regular CAHC & Garberville clients. We will be open Monday through Saturday from 8AM until 5PM. Vaccinations, nail trims and the like will still be available on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary. If you would like to have the Doctor examine your pet, please give us a call to set up an appointment time.
11-17: Wishing everyone an early Happy Thanksgiving! Our office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27th, however we will be seeing our regular clients for any urgent care services needed. As a reminder, please resist the urge to feed your animals table scraps, any cooked bones, or any types of nuts during the holiday.
10-01: October is here, and it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! Did you also know there is a foundation for canine cancer? PuppyUp (previously 2 Million Dogs) is a nonprofit organization committed to discovering the links between canine and human cancers through comparative oncology research. It began with a promise to raise awareness about canine cancer one mile, one city, and one person at a time. Check out their website to read about Luke Robinson's story, the promise he made to his Great Pyreness Malcolm who died of cancer, and the 2,000 mile journey he made from Austin to Boston with his other two animal companions. While you're there, see how you can become involved with PuppyUp through cancer education and awareness, organizing or participating in a puppyup! walk in your area, or donating towards research.
09-03: September is National Preparedness Month! This is a time to prepare yourself and those in your care for emergencies and disasters, both large scale and smaller local events. Don't forget your animal companions! Check out the ASPCA's website for tips on creating an emergency preparedness kit for your own pet! Ensure you have everything you need to keep your friend healthy and safe in case of emergency.

08-01: We are now officially open for business again! We will continue to have our spring summer hours of Monday - Friday 8AM to 6PM and Saturday/Sunday 8AM to 6PM. We will only be seeing our own clients for urgent care services after hours. Please call our main phone number to get a hold of us at 707-445-0877.
07-01: Our office will be closing for two weeks, from July 16th until July 30th. If you need any medications, vaccines, or paperwork done before we close, please give us a call or come in so that we can get everything done beforehand!
06-18: If you're going inland or planning a camping trip, Lyme's Vaccines and Heartworm preventation are something to think about! Please do not leave your pet unattended in the car!
05-06: Just a reminder to keep your pets healthy and vaccinated as we go into the summer months. We offer low cost vaccinations every day, Sunday to Saturday, so just stop on by while we're open!
04-01: April is back again! Go Orange for your friendly companion and support the ASPCA's Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month! Check out their website for ideas on how you can help out this month.
02-21: As some of you may already know, Tawny submitted a letter to the Times Standard detailing her emotional struggle with making the decision to euthanize her baby, Mr. Dozer. We decided to put the letter here on the website in hopes of helping anyone who is also going through the same struggle. Please click here to read Tawny's letter.
